Apexi Power FC Software?
I'm just about to order the Datalogit software/hardware to run my Apexi PowerFC but before I do I was wondering if anyone knows of anything better?
Has anyone got the original Apexi software, which is supposedly only available to Apexi dealers in Japan? I heard of a few copys floating around a couple of years back (PM if prefered).
What I'm really after is some kind of live display (like EcuTeKs Delta Dash -Dash board) as the software will be permanantly running on an in-car pc.

APexi PFC
Ive been having problems trying to sought the Apexi Power FC out. From what I can gather the Datalogit is the best and the only English version available. I am actually going to order the Datalogit kit now. I just thought Id come on to Scoobynet to see if there were any updates but there arent.

Unfortunately the anti-lag only works on the pro-power fc's which i don't think you can get for the wrx. This software is excellent and Dannyboy you can set up a live display for your on-board pc. or mount the pendant somewhere.

According to what I've read....
Power FC Pro Spec.CPU (for DRAG)
Only available for some car models, the Power FC Pro Spec.CPU has been designed for drag racing use. These units have two additional functions over the regular units:
Ignition cut used for rpm limiter - Regular Power FCs cut fuel feed when the preset revolution limit is reached. At high rpm, there is the possibility of knocking when the fuel is cut in high powered cars. The Power FC Pro Spec.CPUs cut ignition at the rpm limit to prevent the knocking that could potentially destroy the engine.
0km/h rpm limiter setting - Allows for the setting for an initial rpm limiter that is active whilst the car is not in motion. This allows for mainting a rpm level for consistent launches.
Pro Spec is also available for MY93-96 and MY97-98

I think datalogit is definetly the best for whom knows what they do.(not me)
I've MY98 standart impreza turbo and I'd like to order Power Fc and dataogit but I don't know if I can transfer my standart ecu maps to power fc. Standart ecu maps shoud be mapped slightly different for different countries by FHI Subaru, isn't it?

The Power FC's are made for specific makes models and model years, you just order the one you need. They come with a basic map that run but it will need fine tuning to match your mods.

The confusion probably came from the fact that you can't do it unless you have this Datalogit software.
Anti-lag should work on any model. All it does is takes a feed from the clutch signal wire and when depressed retards the ignition and increases the fuel to whatever value you enter into the Datalogit software.
There is also an output on the Datalogit box so you can make the antilag switchable.

I don't know if I didn't make this clear but I have the power fc and datalogit software and the anti-lag feature does not work. According to the datalogit newsgroups it only works on certain Power fc's for certain cars rx7's etc.

Sorry I did'nt realise you'd got it and tried it.
I've never had any replys to my questions to Datalogit. Perhaps you could do me the favour of asking on the Yahoo egroup how it can be done. I know it can be done because I was told by the best PowerFC/Scooby tuner in the UK whomost of us know
I'm sure you know and have tried but just in case....
You need to wire in the switch (SW3) into the clutch sensor wire (then to ground) and set the Retard to about 40 degrees and about 50% fuel above base map.

I've read about the antilag feature... and it described how to do it on an RX7. But didn't they describe more as a launch aid than 'real' ant-lag. If it's wired into the clutch does that mean it works with the clutch dipped. Great for lauches i guess and **** all use when you get going. Better id it worked on throttle position.

In the yahoo groups it has been raised and basically the outcome was that it only works on certain cars......and yes I have tried it by shorting the switch to ground etc. I was desperate to get this working but no luck.....If anybody knows anything to the contrary then I would love to know....

Hi Danny/Steve/Tony
It has only recently become clear that the Anti-lag only actually functions on the D-Jetro model Power FC's (MAP based) and not the L-Jetro (MAF based) ECU's.
At the moment there is not a D-Jetro version available for the Subaru range.
Although I now have a MAP/MAF conversion available, it does not change the internal functions within the Power FC
I'm not sure that the "Pro spec ECU" is available yet either, yes it has beed advertised for some time now but when I tried to purchase them few weeks ago they were still not released for sale.
