Default Front disc pad removal

Right this might sound stupid but how do I remove the pads from the caliper. I have got the caliper in my hand and looking at the rear. Please carry on.

you don't mention age/model of vehicle??

2pot or 4pot caliper??

4pot - has spring clip across the back of 2pins............take off, remove the pins from the top of the pads and they will withdraw easily................

2pot - undo the 12/14mm bolt at one end of the caliper on the back and pivot the top around to expose the pads..................

stockcar sorry mate its a MY99 4 pot. I took the caliper off and greased the bolts ready for swapping the discs, they are cream crakered. I will be swapping discs and pads in the very near future. Just unsure how the pads came out, and to make life easy I asked. Thank you Sir for replying.
