Default Lower balljoint replacement problem

Hi guys. Just replaced the track rod ends - nice and easy. Got the lower balljoint out without too much difficulty, and unpacked the new one which I bought from Camskill. There's a cone-shaped bush on the old one which mates perfectly into the hole in the suspension arm. It seems fixed onto the bolt - or at least I can't get it off. Are there two different types or should I be able to get this bush off?

Yes it should come off. When I bought new balljoints they came with new cones (not form Camskill). Try holding the bj in a vice and gently tapping the cone to see if you can break the hold. Try WD40 as well.

Cool - I'll try some persuasion then. Thanks

A bit of heat got it off. It must have been completely shagged as it feels like a new car now - the F/R was really nervous before. Result
