J1 ecu resister switch
I Have a Gizzmo ecu board chip fitted, to my 95 sti ra (similar to scoobyecu I think) is it true you can wire in a switch to the cut J1 resister, and have a two stage map/boost? so in the event of me travelling nearly 2 hours to my nearest shell optimax garage ,I can take advantage of the original sti ecu map/boost.
Is that all I have to do is wire in a switch on the dash and nothing else no soldering anything else or cutting of other resister in the ecu.
Cheers.

Yes just solder a length of wire on to each end of the cut j1 resistor and mount a switch on dash job done. what are the gizzmos like? do you know if it will fit my uk 96 with the spare socket already in ecu? how long have you been running yours? anyprob?

As said you can, I ran one on my UK 96 for a while like that with a scoobyecu..
the problem you have is that the STi map is probably worse fuel wise..
hoping the gizzmo is mapped for uk fuel?
Carry some booster and use 95+booster if you cannot get to a shell?
