Another Lambda question?
My car in the last week has started to do something new.
When starting the car form cold, engine starts fine. I usually let it warm up for a few mins before I drive off.
WHATS NEW?......Well I've noticed the revs sometimes drop down to about 400rpm,nearly stalling the car.It never used to do this.Still seems fine when driving.
I replaced the MAF about 6 months ago,so I think the Lamda is on it's way out.
Is it worth replacing anyway?Been on the car for years(STi MY94),looks like the original part(about the only thing I haven't replaced/upgraded).
Any thoughts on this?

Definitely worth replacing anyway. Christ, if it's the original, it's 10 years old!!! They're only supposed to last a couple of years. Even less if you wreck them with octane booster. What's your part throttle and cruise like? Any surging? What about your mpg? Yours is in the exhaust manifold isn't it. You could try disconnecting it and see if it makes any difference. But for ~£30 you might as well get a new one. Just need to find out which one you need...
