how do you clean the idle control valve?
Do you take off the intercooler and remove from the block and clean or is it just take the top off with the connector and clean in there.I am not sure if I clean the correct thing here, does any one have pictures of a 97 car to show me? I have done searches but get no were apart from the threads that I have been keeping an eye on here lately.

This is what "The Judge" says from a recent post:
"On a MY00 it's situated just above the throttle body, where the hose from the intercooler meets the inlet manifold. Once unscrewed and removed, it can be cleaned with brake cleaner or equivalent. If you click here and scroll down to page 38, it's item 2."
Same for the MY97 I think...

I'll be in your gang...
The lambda sensor was a 3 wire universal job from Cats Direct. A local garage soldered the original connector on, but it does come with crimp connectors for mere mortals!
