try turbo dynamics or turbo technics. Turbo technics quoted me about 190 for new seals and bearings (more if more work required), turbo dynamics quoted me 150 quid - 680 quid dependant on condition of turbo. I sent mine to turbo dynamics in the end as I read a bad review about turbo technics and prayed that I would get a 150 quid bill. It cost 380 quid!!! They say it was pretty knackered. When I got it back though it was so shiny and looked like a brand new turbo, it seemed almost a shame to use it.

Andy Forrest supplied my FE TD05, I'm sure he does recon and rebuilds too

He's also getting rave reviews for mapping Apexi stuff as well if that's what you have.....oooooooooooooh and I think he also might have the fastest scoob at TOTB3 !! Quite a CV

Yes, I got a new Core. The turbo was effectively new. Turbo dynamics sell new TD05 for 750 and recon for 680, so sending my old one in saved me 300.

Its a lot of money though. I bought a TD04 of Andy F a few months ago for 100 quid and that was still running fine when I took it off (anyone want it). I have been told that buying second hand turbos that have not been reconditioned is false economy. Its a gamble basically. I ended up spending a load to get a reconditioned TD05 and I have an effectively brand new turbo with all the paperwork and labels to prove it. Peace of mind and also should increase resale value.
