i have just hit the big red on my knock link. I was doing about 125 mph on the motorway. I was driving for about 1/2 hour so the car was warm. i have a my99 with a ppp ecu (which i fitted yesurday). what could couse this. It only happened then, it was ok for the rest of the jurney. Could octain booster help? I also fitted a new lamba yesturday.

 

Was you accelerating past 125mph (on your private rd) or was you at 125mph and you put your foot down and got big red?

i was accelerating to 125mph then it came on. So i let off.

 

It's hot out there - you were pulling hard - known fact that not a lot of air actually enters the "small" scoop on the classic at high speeds, in which case the intake temp. must have been very high. it all adds up!
