thats where I got the idea from, but as I dont know the guy I didnt know if it was true or not.

Can't be scientific about it, but, I recently swapped from an H&S 3"->2.5" DP without splitter to a H&S full 3" DP with splitter and my boost threshold has decreased by a couple of hundred RPM.
