Hi.

A friend of mine has a Greddy oil catch can for sale, for a very low price.

Since I don't know what it does, I would like to know if you guys can tell me what it's for, and the pros and cons of installing one.

Basically, if it will bring any benefit on an Impreza, or if it's just for show.

I havent got one on mine...... I will soon though - a Must for me as I'm spuing out loads of the stuff on my engine!!

Probably mor eappropriate for higher performance engines.......... I used to use up no oil at all, changing the pistons resulted in me using about half a litre every 1k and hence really the need for an oil catch can

My car is pretty standard... Only has an STi air filter, and backbox + decat centre section.

I really like the look of the oil catch can. Really thinking of buying it.

Does it have any disadvantages?

Cant think of any disadvantages, other than the hassle of emptying it occassionally and the cost

For your spec though I would have thought it was a waste of money..........save it for something more useful........... honestly
