Full throttle gear change and launch control
Any one running their scooby with the above??
Had it on mine but never got the chance to use it as it blew up after only two weeks of ownership.
I have now been told that they cant do the launch control or full throttle shift as the Subaru engine cant take it????? (Dastek, Unichip by the way)
The car is going back to get the Unichip fitted and mapped again as the new engine was being run in.
Anyone got any stories about this??

the cheaper full throttle gear changers just cut the spark to kill the revs which causes bore wash that will contaminate the oil, depends how often you change the oil. you can get them that stops the fueling but will be a more expensive, sorry don't no prices or where to get em.

It's not a problem for the Scoobs if you do it in the ECU software (e.g. Motec).
However, it does your clutch and/or gearbox no favours at all, so you should bear that in mind before using it too often.
