bhp figures
hi lads
was just reading the rolling road page and iam quite puzzled. Why do some scoobs drop up to 90bhp when comparing power @flywheel to power @wheels and some only drop say 50-60bhp?,and what would be faster , a car with say 280@flywheel and 200@wheels or a car with 260@flywheel and 215@ wheel anyone care to enlighten me?

Could be either one !
The losses increase with mph, the scoobs you are looking at probably have different gearing so one may make max power at 75mph and another at 95mph, thats possibly the difference of 15-20 bhp in drag.
Also the type, pressure and size of tyre have a big effect on drag.
