This was a guide posted by JGM
The only additional point I would add is that I used a odd sized 3/8 drive extension bar to prevent the Ratchet catching the bodywork
Cheers
Remove the battery and washer bottle:
Unbolt the coil pack (one at a time) or if newer car remove the HT lead:
Once the bolt is undone (it remain in the coil pack) pull the coil pack out.. then use a small spark plug spanner.. to remove plug.. refit new one etc..
Then repeat for the second one on the passenger side..
Replace washer bottle and battery.. I started the car to check there was not a problem with that side.. other wise once finished and it doesn't start.. which side do you look at for the problem?
Remove air filter system:
you can see my plug spanner in the lefthand plug hole:

Don't bother removing the battery, you really don't need to, just take the 2 bolts out of the washer bottle and move it to one side,.
If you have an induction kit on itmakes life easier on the other side too.
I also removed the rubber bung from my spark plug socket because after I fitted the new plug, the socket preferred to stay on the plug rather than come off with my extension bar

Idiots guide.
Ahem........
Buy new plugs, get the right ones.
Open bonnet, make sure car is at a stand still.
Look at engine, realise you dont know where the **** the plugs are.
Ring your mate.
Act normal (stupid)
He will then do it for you.
I fank you.
