Default Slight Oil deposits around front and side of turbo

car is MY00, with PPP, other than sti intercooler everything else is stock UK MY00 TD04 turbo (boost is 16.5 PSI)

Anyway whilst mooching around under the bonnet today inspecting hoses/pipes etc

I noticed fresh (ish ) oil around the front part of the turbo, mainly around the bit where the induction pipe fits (but none on the induction pipe itself)

So i took a look underneath around the up-pipe and there is a touch of oil around there too (lying underneath the car) its on the left hand side of the turbo

Without removing the turbo it difficult to tell where its come from, and only cleaning it and driving round for a bit will tell if it is actually a leak (which I will be doing shortly)

Car runs absolutly fine, and its been stood for a week, cept yesterday I did a 250 mile round trip (virtually all motorway)

Any ideas? is this relatively normal?
or could one of the seals be on its way out

Steve
