Stange wirring sound from front of car...
This is not a scoob problem, but is currently affecting my other half's citroen ax, but sure someone will help out.
When travelling along at about 60, (yes, it will do 60) there's a sort of rubbing sound which seems to be coming from the front nearside wheel area, it sounds quite similar to a knacked wheel bearing. Under acceleration or braking, it can't be heard, but when trying to keep the car at a constant speed, the noise is quite noticable - but lessens in wet conditions.
Any ideas appreciated.

wheel bearing was my diagnosis but thought you could hear it whatever speed you were doing.
