Default knock link + lambda

I think its about time i bought a knocklink. Is it worth me buying a lambda link as well? How useful are they in actual use?

Smile Essential when running higher boost

Chrisbridge - usually required when modifying the boost levels with e.g. Dawes. Standard ECU only fuels to standard boost, higher boost levels will require different fueling, hence why an AFR (Air:Fuel Ratio) meter is useful to monitor Lambda readings. (engine damage can occur if fueling runs lean)

Knocklink listens to the engine and gives early warning signs to detonation. Detonation can occur for many reasons, but in this example, when raising boost levels, the fuel can ignite in an uncontrolled manner (ie the spark plug is supposed to ignite the fuel at exactly the correct time - when raising boost the additional pressures can cause the fuel to combust before the spark plug ignites). If the fuel combusts as the pistons are returning you get damage, and in most cases the damage is fatal.

Hope this makes sense, I did of course have one too many last night!
