Looking to fit a p1 intercooler to a uk 99,i allready have samco hoses fitted to original cooler.Will this be a straight swap and be sufficient enough for further mods to take me to around the 310-320 bhp mark.

Bigger turbo is on the way along with ecu-map.

Youll be better off looking into one of the aftermarket uprated TMI-they flow better with better cooling-a must if youre going for more mods.

Its just a cost issue,if i can get nearly the same end result by using a p1 intercooler thats fine by me.The cost of an aftermarket tmic is going to be about 3-4 times dearer...


I just need to know that it will be a worth while swap,and be man enough.

 

Believe there are people on here running 310-320 on the standard top mount. Cooling is only an issue when you don't monitor it.

 

Cheers for replies guys,it seems that it will be o.k for modification plans,but what about fitment.Will this be a straight swap or is there anything else needed ie.pipework,y-piece,brackets etc..

 

I have just fitted an STI intercooler (imagine the P1 will be the same) to an MY99 - went straight on no probs think the only real improvement is from the STI Y-pipe
