Question Earthing Mod

Hi

I am keen to do this mod to my car but would like to know which "Cable" is the one to use. I have access to all sorts of RS wire/cable at work but it doesn't really deal with amps but the electricians are more keen to know cable diameter for the job. I had done a search and read 100a on some threads here but the electricains tell me the cable for this is 16mm which is HUGE!

Any thoughts from those that have done this? Chiark? Mr Wallis? Bob Rawle?

Thanks in advance

Tim

Any car audio wire will do the job. Halfords do a red one thats about 4-5mm diameter.
I bought the HKS kit and then added a few extra home made wires to go the the ecu and a few other points. The HKS 'earth circle' makes a tidy job of it. Did a DIY on my old car but this looks trick and realy does help to make it idle smoother.

Slight hi-jack sorry, but on the same theme.
What have people that have done the earthing mod done about the OE earthing? Mine is crimped directly to the battery terminal connector, but I fancy a nice gold connector from Maplins (search for CN92A on maplin.co.uk). Would I have to re-crimp a ring terminal onto the OE cabling? I don't really fancy doing away with the OE cabling all together.
