Problem when putting foot to the floor in 3rd to 4th gear
1st and 2nd gear seem fine but when I floor it in other gears ill get a sudden jolt and it kinda miss fires or something. Its really nasty jolt aswell its a complete kind of cut off to all power as if its nearly stalling, if i keep my foot down it will do it every 2 to 3 seconds some kinda timing sopmewhere out ?It seems to do it anywhere from 3k-7k rpm. It only does it when I put my foot a fair bit down and accelerate aggresivly. If you drive it like a granny you would never notice it.
Thanks in advance.

What boost are you getting at the time of the cut? It sounds like fuel cut caused by too much boost (possible contaminated boost solenoid). If not, plugs breaking down can also cause a sudden cut, but if it's a 'head through screen' incident when power cuts, most likely fuel cut as a result of overboost...

I havnt got a boost gauge so im afraid i dont know .........
I was thinking its sommet to do with too much fuel as its all dependant on what im doing with the accelerater.
Im a scooby n000b so got a bit to learn yet but im trying

Really does sound like you have too much boost and get spiking to above the fuel cut level and the ECU cuts all fuelling until the boost falls to an acceptable level. Hence the "head crashing into window " comment above, it IS as vicious stop start event!
Search on here for how to clean the boost solenoid ( the small brass cylinder with 2 wires in the top and 2 or 3 hoses on the side/bottom, mounted on the drivers side inner wing ) which may help, else something like the turbo wastegate is sticking or you have some electronic boost controller / chip in the ecu that is asking for higher boost!
If there is a Subaru specialist any where near you, take the car over for an opinion... they should know!
