Does it have any mods?
When were the plugs last changed ... inside 2 years?

What did you set the plug gaps to? Also whilst changing the plugs you may have damaged (cracked) one of the coilpacks especially if they are relatively old.

i been having a similar problem mate
bin through loads of different plugs etc and found it to be that they just get really soiled up (in my case) because i work 2 mins round the corner so hence unburnt fuel build up and makes her run really rough after a few weeks.
Also the coil packs can be a pain, i had 1 shorting through itself to the engine even though no wear or damaged signs, just a case of old age!
Also clean the maf especially if you have an induction kit.
Oh and whilst your at it put some brake or carb cleaner spray through the boost solenoid (take off the 3 pipes 1st and dont drown it!)
Hope you get it sorted & this is of some help!
Oh and the best plugs i have found to be are the ngk prf7b (think thats the code, they in the scooby shop!)

This is how a cured the problem
Replaced 3 coil packs
New O2 sensor fitted
New MAF sensor fitted (cleaned it but it was beyond cleaning)
Cleaned all the boost pipes/solnoid out
And finally changed the plugs to GRreddy iridium
Cost a fair bit of money but it was worth it in the end
