Default how can i fit a TD05/06-20g on my96 ?

i've received by andy a beautifull td05/06-20G and i'm going to fit it on my impreza my96 (so, with the 90° turbo entry)

Andy has send this with a samco hose to make the 90° entry, that's ok

i'm going to fit my td05/06-20g on my MY96 car but i've some troubles....

i've find an adaptator to fit my inlet plenum on the samco hose, that's ok...but the samco is posed on the inlet manifold...and i don't see how i can do to put the inlet plenum (which remove the 2nd resonator after maf) with the waste gate which is very large....if you have some photo or/and the solution to my troubles, i thank you to say me how i can do that...

edit for photo

I used this on my TD05 FE. It works quite well. The 20g is probably a bit bigger though.

is that bolted to the up-pipe? is the top bracket on?

cut a little off one end of the samco as it will need a tight bend.

The 20G is only a few mm longer than the 16G FE so a similar set up should fit. I initially thought the tight 90 degree bend would limit the power but it doesn't. The larger bore must compensate.

Andy

Do you do the TD05/06 20G with a 90 degree entry cover? Would that still fit and make it easier for the earlier cars with 90 degree entry turbos?

What;s involved in fitting a FE turbo to an engine that came with a 90 degree entry turbo, ?

The 20g is front entry by design thats why we use a samco bend to convert it for the early cars.

I think David has hit the nail on the head, you need to trim a little off the samco where it attaches to the Turbo so you can get the bend up past the inlet manifold without deforming the samco bend so much.. You might want a small bit of steel pipe to go in the top of the samco and into the OE pipe as clamping samco to rubber pipe might be a bit difficult.

Tell you want send me the turbo and samco and I'll fit it to my car and test it out for you

Bolt the turbo up loosely first.. holding it in by hand never works well enough to see where things fit.
