Default Uprated fuel pump and regulator, whens it needed?

as the title says when and why do you need to get them fitted.

What do you have to do to your car to need to replace them.

lo paul! how's tricks?

i would say, you shouldn't really need to replace them, until your hitting about the 270 brake and upward's power level. not much to fit them, but if your not one for getting their hands dirty, then your best leaving it to people who don't mind doing it!

guys,

the chaps at TSL reckoned I needed an uprated fuel pump on my MY02 WRX when it went in for a sportscat downpipe and decat centre, shortly before remapping. As I understand it this was a much for safety reasons ie. underfuelling, as for performance.

sorry can't remember the cost though as it was done in a job-lot. Walbro pump I believe

cheers
Dave

defo a sort of saftey precaution, yes, but you would get a benfit from it if only marginal.

walboro are the main ones and should be about a ton for the pump. as for the fpr, most peeps go for the cheapest option, as i did, which is the FSE one, available from load's of places. should also be about a ton, though i think there was a group buy on these two parts????? if not, pm me and i'll see what i can do
