how to test your turbo?
dont know whether this is a silly question or not,
but my car doesent seem to be performing as well as it did before i fitted a scoobysport back box and k+n panel filter.
one minute it will shoot of,the next its like going no where?
so was wondering if this could be something to do with the turbo?
i dont have a boost gauge.
any ideas
cheers dannytwo

The boost gauge is pretty much essential when trying to establish if the turbo is doing what it should be. I'd be amazed if the mods you've made would make a detrimental effect to the performance of the car. Probably just a coincidence.
Without knowing what boost pressure your turbo's creating, it's pretty difficult to diagnose the fault. However, that said, there are a couple of things that immediately spring to mind, but they're dependent on a couple of factors. What MY are we talking about? What gears does it do it in? What revs? What fuel do you use...?
