Default Clifford G5 and safety film

I want to beef up security on my Scooby. Even though the standard Subaru Cat 1 alarm gets me my insurance I was thinking of fitting the super trick CLIFFORD G5. Has anyone had any problems removing the standard alarm and fitting an after market one? Especially the G5.
Also the safety film that you stick to the window so people can't punch their way in, does it come in a smoked tinted variety?
Any help would be great, thanks for your time.

Beware most films are cosmetic only.

But this company do the armoured stuff that you are on about. Its not cheap but it is strong. There is new legislation on tints which they explain about on their site.

Default 17s or 18s? What will fit

I have a 1999 Impreza Wagon Turbo.
I want to up the size of my wheels to either 17s or 18s.
17s I heard go straight on but will I need to do work at the rear or roll arches to get 18s on.

Thanks
