As above it is a 97 registered type r.However i need to find out when it was manufactured as it needs a model report and one does not exsist yet.If i can prove it was made 96 then i dont need a report.Dealers have been useless and dont want to help - can anyone help?

 

If it is an import from japan the year of manufacture has to be stamped on the seat belt label on the front seats, the label is where the belt bolts to the bottom side of the car . It was known for people to cut this lablel off and register the car as newer .If it is not an import not sure but as it is a type r i suspect it is .

Cheers for the info i will have to check tomorrow as car is in a garage waiting to get put through test.You say that people remove it to make car younger does this mean i can make car older then?

 

My car has all the details on the de-reg certificate (issued in Japan) that it came with?? I thought this was needed for the SVA too? -to prove it's year of manufacture and first registration??

Who are doing the work and taking for test on your car??
