fuel pump/fuel regulator fitting

fuel pump/fuel regulator fitting
Are there any online pages with instructions on how to fit them? I have just taken delivery of Walboro, but still waiting for regulator to come in the next week or 2. is there any point in fitting fuel pump alone for now, and fit regulator at a later date, or should I wait until I have both, before I fit both of them together?
Thanks

I just started fitting the Walboro. So far,
1) Started the engine
2) Disconnected the electric plug at the fuel pump, and let it stall
3) Turned the engine on and stall again
4) Disconnected the fuel line on the elbow with a white connector.
Trying to disconnect the other 2 fuel lines, but when I disconnected the middle line (the thicker tube), fuel kept pouring out, and I mean for seconds and seconds. I've connected that line back again, and tried to disconnect the other smaller line, but even before I've pulled it off totally, I can see some fuel leaking out of the hose.
Have I missed something here? How much fuel is normal to come out? Any suggestions please.
