Question Fault code 45

My car (96 STi) is currently showing a fault code 45 when I connect read out the codes from the CEL. She pulls fine up to about .7bar, then the turbo suddenly starts to spool up much quicker for a second or so, then fuel cuts.

I've tried cleaning the boost solenoid and resetting the ECU, but after a hard drive the fuel cut comes back and so does the fault code.

Anyone any ideas? Sticky wastegate actuator or something maybe? Any how to clean links would be appreciated!

The pressure sensor is the rather odd looking thing, that is attached to the driverside arch. the cylindrical device is the boost controller, and the device by it is the pressure sensor..it has a brown electrical connector in the top with 2 wires coming out.

Mines an my 93 wrx and i think theyre the same.

That's the boost solenoid rather than the pressure exchange one innit? Oh well, will give them all a clean tonight anyway! Did you reset your ECU to clear the code afterwards?
