Default Cutting out at low revs

Help being a newbee Im unsure whats going on :Cars a 00 with decat system,Tec 2 ,induction kit.
The problem is that when pulling up to junctions now and again the car will idle badly for 5-10 secs then be ok again .Ive now found that sometimes when Im pulling up the car is now stailing now and again.
Could this be the MAF on its way out ?

i'm having very similar symptons on my Sti5. However, ive already tried a new MAF and it wasnt that - for £70 odd quid though it might be worth checking. Im gonna change the Spark Plugs this week to see if that does owt.

Mine isnt fully decat either BTW. If all else fails its havin a remap in 2 months time and that might sort it

someone on another similar thread mentioned cleaning the idle speed control valve - not sure where to look for that one though...

have you tried uncoupling the MAF when running, stalling can be a sign that it's NOT the MAF at fault apparently

EEK i would do a search on cutting out or MAF problems, could be the MAF, i kow the MY99's had a sensitive MAF and maybe the 00 is the same - i am sure someone with more experience could answer that for you.

However if it is the MAF and is is causing your engine to run lean they you could be in for ££££'s

Get it checked by someone who knows what they are about if i where you.
