Question Oil Temp sender location MY01 WRX?

Hi,

Waiting to fit a knock link and oil temp gauge to my WRX.

I know on older scoobs there is a bung under the intercooler on number 3 cylinder where a temperature sender can go - does this exist on a MY01? If so does anyone know what size bung it is - even better where I can get a sender from to fit it?

Any info gratefully recieved.

cheers

Chris

Chris,
There is a bung under the intercooler on the bugeyes, the thread is m18 1.5 pitch.I also had the same problem after fitting an oil pressure guage under the alternator, then deciding I wanted an oil temp guage as well .I was on the groupbuy earlier on in the year and got my guages from voodoo but thats another story. When they came the thread on the sender was 3/8th npt and I couldnt find an adaptor anywere I ended getting a local fab shop to make me an adaptor to suit If you are fitting an electric temp guage I have a bung with an 1/8 npt take of which I got from scoobymania and never used.
