Question ECU Reset

Sorry if this been asked before but i would like to know if I remove the positive cable from the battery to reset ecu how long will it need to be removed for and will I come across any problems i.e like lights coming on the dash that should not be there.

Also one more quickie out of the following which is the easiest and best use:-

Wynns Octane Booster
Millers Octane Booster
NF Race Formula Octane Booster (What best measurement for 40 to 45 litres of fuel)

Thanks in advance Andre

Hi mate, I thought it was the negative pole that needs to be removed (?).

Maybe wrong.

Skoosh.

p.s: Tried mine tonight, if I'm wrong then I'll try again with better results hopefully.

Sk.

What MY is your motor? Assuming it's a classic, can't you just use the plugs beneath the steering column? Click here for info. Takes about 5 minutes...

As for octane boosters...

- never used Wynns.

- used to use Millers when I was using BP Ultimate (don't need with Optimax), simple to use, just empty entire bottle into tank before filling.

- never used NF. Supposed to be the best, but awkward to use as you have to measure the amount you use, apparently.

Regarding OB -

I use NF Race Formula 2ml per litre of Optimax. Tried Millers but too much activity on the Knocklink for my liking. Not tried the other one.
