Default 04 WRX PPP Exhaust/decat question

Hi,

Ordered the above car to replace a bug eye i have at the mo. My bug eye has the centre cat and the mid silencer sections replaced with straight thru H&S pipes.

Question is - with the PPP on my new car - what pipes get replaced? Do i get a sports cat downpipe and a back box or is it a sports cat centre section and a back box?

Thanks in advance

Merlin71 -> The only exhaust mod is the rear box. Other parts are intercooler pipe and ECU.

/shocked!

Wow, i thought i was getting a sports cat d/p for that sort of £. Christ.

Mind you - i'm in for some fun then cos the dealer has agreed to put my two straight through sections on the new car with no warranty worries.

Guess it should be making good power then with those straight throughs and the prodrive ecu & bb.

Thanks 4 the quick reply m8. Appreciated.

Actually the two bit centre section has its cat removed, leaving the std downpipe cat section.
Howver, if you look under the PPP car, the original heat shields are put back on. As they are built to accomodate the centre section Cat, it looks like it is still there, but it ain't.

Thanks Nick, that makes a bit more sense. I started to wonder how on earth Prodrive would get those sort of power gains out of a WRX without some sort of decat.

So basically, im just gonna get my dealer to fit my two piece centre section that i already have on my 02WRX and give me any of the prodrive pipes in my hand so i can sell em

And obviously i dont have to worry about IDC's because my car is no more decatted that if i just had a pure ppp (i.e. d/p cat is still in place).
