Default scooby ecu fitting

Got the board this morning and just in the process of fitting it now.

Im at the stage of plugging the scoobyecu board into the ecu IC socket.

it seems really tight to push in, so before I go any further, how far do the pins go in the ic socket?
should any of the pin show or should it be a fluch fit?

many thanks

Try to ease it in.
It has to be quite tight to stay in there.
You will know when its in properly as it wont move, but be carefull as its easy to break the pins

From memory i think a tiny bit of pin does show but it should be ok if its tight
and all the pins are in the right holes

Remember to cut the resistor and also unplug battery to reset the ECU.

ok, managed to get it in better, but still, the car wont fire up.
I think its the boost solenoid, left hand side above the MAF is clicking like mad so battery disconnected and ecu removed, will have to revert back to standard and solder the resistor?

Del..

Push it hard all the way in.. wd40 helps

put something under the board to stop it flexing.. (a bit of wood or similar, something that wont scratch the board)

ring me if you dont sort it.

David, is it possible to PM me price and availability for a ScoobyECU for my 93 WRX, please? I did email the web contact, but haven't heard anything, and am keen to get one of your ECUs.
Many thanks, and sorry for the hijack, Del.
Mitch.
