Default Order of upgrades

After the obligatory backbox and filter, what is the general order of engine upgrade for the Impreza?
I have just got my 93WRX, which is standard except for a TSL GpN back box.
There's talk of ECU upgrades, Knocklink, up pipes?, Dawes devices, bigger turbos, decats etc. I've done a couple of searches and looked at FAQ to no avail.
What is the best route to go, just to reliably up the power a smidgen (for now)?

None of the above
Start with the ability to stop, ie the brakes, its the biggest weak spot and adding more power will only prove this when you pile into the back of another car
There are lots of companies that do brake upgrade kits, you want to go for a 4 pot setup minimum!!

Sensible man.
I'm going to do the springs, ARBs and strut braces, then possibly Tarox discs and pads (Can't afford masses of cash for the 4 pot kits).
After that, though, what is the order........
