Default Strange Juddery Noise When Turning.

I have just got back from Birmingham, its about an hours drive. When I turned right to go into my drive the steering started judderring and making a strange noise. Any ideas?

Too hard to say without you looking at it on a ramp.

Possibly a c.v joint but that wouldnt change with driving it for a while.

This is what worries me. After warming up then it happens do you think maybe a diff problem?

I have checked the gearbox oil and its clear as a bell(apparently it goes a browny colour if the diff is fooked).

I hope so.

Although it did seem like the wheel(passenger side) was struggling under the pressure, struggling to spin somehow.

May I also add that it is not so much a noise as a feeling through the steering wheel. Yes thats it, a juddery feeling through the steering, it doesn't feel good to be honest, perfectly fine in a straight line and round roundabouts.

Hmmm ****-biscuits!!

No mate, it feels normal then when doing a sharp turn, full lock turn, I can feel judderring through the steering wheel, its been fine up untill now, but I have only done short journeys in it before today.

I obviously turn into my drive alot and its never done this before, the guy I bought it off said there may be a problem with the gearbox but only when its warm, but I got it all checked out and it was ok.

Apparently there is a silicon type substance in the gearbox that can corrode, when this happens it leaves the gearbox fluid a browny colour, and like I said the fluid is crystal clear.

Best to do that with the front jacked off the ground-less pressure on the linkages.
