Popped in petrol station filled up from empty.After 15 minutes of driving car felt diffrent(flat). Drove hard in 3rd to be shore it seemed like a bad batch of petrol. It does happen every now and then. Going home later on cruising the motorway a light came on which is not in my manual. I reduiced speed and it went away .It looked like two parallel lines with something above i think.Detting maybe from bad fuel ? light on though puzzles me. Any ideas.

If the light is red, it could be the Catalytic convertor overheat light.

What MY is the car?

 

yes it was red .what do i do next remove the cat ?

 

if it is hot, then i would have to assume the engine is running rich ??

 

Or - Cat is blocked and/or knackered
- Exhaust temperature sensor is knackered

 

the warning light ive described definately is the cat one ? i cant draw it unfortunately
is there anyway of me finding it on the net.

 

help someone if its the cat i dont understand how the car picks this up the fault.

pm sent. just to confirm its the cat overheat light

 

ill do a ecu reset see what happens.its probably been caused by me fitting a bigger
induction pipe .
