Default lagging downpipe

should be getting a downpipe this week. do i need to lag it??? if so where do i get it from?

any advice would be appreciated.

Definately lag it. It doesn't cost much and it's easy to do now, if after having fitted the pipe you decide to lag it then it all becomes a pain.

You can get a 15m roll from Here, it's worth getting the metal ties too.

Fitting the lag will quieten in-cabin noise generated by the downpipe and will help to keep underbonnet temps down.

15 metres did mine totally spot on without a bit to spare, each turn covering half of the turn before it.

ive heard a few people having problems with their gearboxes after fitting a decat downpipe
I cant really see it.

However, it has been known for people to not bother to refit the heat shield because it has to be cut to fit. This has then resulted in the clutch fluid being boiled.
