Default Best Air Filter/Best Supplier?

Want a new filter to put in my airbox (MY 98 Turbo).

What's the thinking on them performance wise (I am sure there's not much between them, but they must be better than standard paper at the moment)?
Also - cheapest supplier?

Thanks

Sulli,

From what I can gather www.scoobyworld.co.uk do a good price on various replacement filters. I have been told that they are generally used in conjunction with performance backboxes like the afterburner vortex and induction kits like piper or k&n. I think its probably better to go for the whole deal for any major noticeable difference.

Worked for me on my old car, bmw e36 m3.

Induction kits tend to have detrimental effect on Scoobs because they are drawing warm air from the engine bay. The stock induction system is pretty good. A k&n, green, sti or ITG panel filter in the stock air box is the recommended route for anything short of serious big power mods.

Cheers both.

I have got a rather expensive full decat and handmade Sti system/backbox from japan which is the dog's danglies, so the filter should compliment it quite well.
Wasn't gonna go induction, just performance panel, so i'll try Scoobyworld.

I got a Green panel filter from Demon Tweeks. Very pleased with it (cos I can hear the dump valve dumping now ). Was £35 incl VAT.

I AM RUNNING MY STI 5 TYPE "R" with a K&N panel filter in the original air box with a BLITZ NUR Spec R exhaust which seems to allow the engine to breathe quite well !!
