Default TSL Motorsport's Triple P

Can anyone comment on this performance upgrade for a JDM sti v7. Is there anyone out there who has taken the plunge. I think the price is £1800 which includes fuel pump upgrade, performance panel filter, Thundercat exhaust system and an ECU remap

Quote from TSL Website:

"333 HORSES, … 1 CAT,…. NO BULL!!!!
Whereas some engine conversions are all talk, ours is all torque. Our 333lb/ft and 333 BHP conversion will quite literally leave you seeing double.

If the figures suggest wild animal, the reality is a purring, fully house-trained pedigree. Our Thundercat sports catalyst also leaves your thoroughbred with a sweet smelling rear end.. even if you choose a foray into the kitty litter. With a gasflow increase akin to our full de-cat system, The Thundercat exceeds all MOT and emmisions guidelines for the UK

If you are truly serious about horses.. then follow the stampede to TSL.

….Or you might just end up with a load of old pony…

Prices start at just £650 plus VAT.. call or mail for details

(figures quoted are for STi 7/8 conversion with full TSL Thundercat system. EcuTek conversions are available for all post 99 Impreza/WRX. Actual outputs may vary slightly from car to car.)"

Alan S,

This thread has been done before in General and it led to the thread being pulled because it got a little, er, contentious. However I would give it a try again in General & see what you get.

I can't comment on TSL's product as I have no experience of it. However you could have a word with Pete Croney at Scoobysport who also uses the Ecutek software to reprogramme cars. Always useful to talk to several tuners before you take the plunge.

I can't comment on Pete's "product" either for the same reasons as above. However he's an enthusiast, which is a good start.

Cheers

WB

After much looking, reading, and deliberating, I went with Scoobysport. 2 reasons, one I already had the Scoobysport exhaust fitted and I drove a STI 02 which had the same mods which blew my socks off! I looked at BR Devolopments, GForce, TSL (which fitted the uprated fuel pump, and did seem nice guys) and Scoobymania. After all your putting your trust in someone with your £25000 car and you want them to get it right. Pat at Scoobysport did my re-map and all I can say is he did a great job. The car is now just how I want it and I don't think you need anything faster (for me anyway). You run out of road first! With mine being a car form Motorpoint I don't have a Subaru warranty hence the reason I went to a third party tuner instead of the Prodrive option. I think though that the performace of the car is better than the similar PPP. Hope this has been some use.
