Default Intercooler buy tips...

Hi:

I'm looking for a good Intercooler, I tend to think "The bigger the best", but my "arachnid sense" it's telling me this shouldn't be the only criteria in order to evaluate a Intercooler.

Does anyone have some criteria in order to select or design a good intercooler'

Regards

Check out

www.autospeed.com

Search for Intercoolers and WRX.

They have tested all standard Scooby intercoolers and some aftermarket items. Its a good bit of reading but to get all of the article you have to pay a few pennies.

Cheers

Also depends if you want to retain a TMIC or move on to an FMIC and of course how much you want to spend. The Autospeed artice does give a good comparison of the TMIC's which are used by Scoobs HERE . Also have a look at some of the alternatives available HERE

I'm thinking in a FMIC, in ebay there are a lot of them, but I don't know Wich one could be the one for 20 psi up to red line with a TD05...

Thanks

If you are looking at FMIC's you should definitely consider the Hybrid Kit shown HERE . I am using this Kit with a TD05 and am very pleased with the results. AFAIK Harvey was planning to do a 3rd Group Buy on these.

Cheers
