They will be there somewhere
2 green and 2 black
On my 93wrx import they were tucked right up behind the steering colm
Had to bend myself in all sort of weird ways to find them
Happy hunting

Ive got an my93wrx, and the procedure as i know it for resetting the ecu is simple .. just disconnect the battery for an hour.

The two black connectors under the steering column when joined are for reading the ecu codes, but if you do join them *dont switch the car on*, only go to accessory mode to read the codes, otherwise i believe you will cause damage.

under my column there are 2 black and 2 green connectors which are disconnected ...i have no idea what the green ones are for, but the blacks are for ecu code.

Frank

anybody know what the green connectors are for??

The green ones are for re-setting the ecu
With the ignition off connect black to black and green to green
Turn on the ignition but do not start
depress the accelerator to full throttle and hold for a few seconds
Start engine and drive car above 10mph for about 1 minute
CEL will flash (ecu reset)
Stop the car unplug green and black connectors
Hope this helps

Actually the greens (on their own) are used to initiate "test mode". Greens and blacks together initiate a reset. More information can be found here...

Does disconnecting the ecu and battery for more than 24 hours reset the ecu??

Apparently, just disconnecting the battery for a couple of hours will do this. But I don't see the point in that, when the plugs method is straightforward...

I did the battery disconnect method last night, ...and the car felt totally different when i took it out for a spin ..more responsive.

I left it disconnected for about an 'hour n half'.

The hardest thing about this is method is remembering how to reset the clock on my head unit.

Frank

car is my93wrx
