Ive just had a look at my original W6 ECu, which was on the car when it came over from japan and it seems to have an ecu chip upgrade in it.

Does anyone know where i can see pictures of the internals of a normal W6
to see if i'm right?

This is what the ECU should like with no 'additional' boards/chips fitted. Some WRX ECU's do not have the 'Chip Holder' as standard.
