anyone help i have a legacy 2 ltr turbo with very loud tapits i have recently upgraded my oil pump and switched to Mobil 1 racing oil.
Does anyone know any different

 

When you say mobil 1 racing oil do you mean the 15w50 or the 0w40 (hopefully not )

Are you saying the noise has become louder after the oil change?

 

if its of any use my Classic UK My00 was run on Magantec from new (prev owner) and engine was quiet. First oil change that I did I used Mobil1 15/50 and was not impressed with the much noisier engine Next change (which I have just done) used Motul 300v and the engine has quietened again.....make of that what you will.

I'm gonan stick to Motul from here onwards

MY00 Similar to Nelson..done a change to Mobil 15/50 and it was very tappetty when cold. Changed back to Magnatec 5/40 (or whatever their new one is) and all is quiet.

P.S I don't care what is said about Magnatec..I've been using it is all my Turbo Cars and have never had an issue (probably cause I drive too slow )
