Cool NGK Spark Plugs

I asked this question not so long ago, but can`t find the thread.
My Sti2 is in for a service at the end of April, i want to fit NGK plugs, i asked if PFR6B were ok, and was told that if my car had been modded i needed PFR7B. I phoned the garage today and to cut a long story short was told that PFR6B would be ok.
The only mods i have is a Magnex decat centre pipe and a Scoobysport back box, so do i need 6`s or 7`s

Tony, cant say just yet if i will be at the next LADS meet, depends on work, would like to be there.
Are you on the Dales run on sunday ?

Saw you car at the last meet gave you a wave as you left, as you say "its a bit more modern though in ways of design" that must be a little white lie on your part you must let me sit in it next time, maybe start her up

See you soon, Kev

You should fit 7's or 8's the 6's are very prone to pre-ignition ... read det. The handbook doesn't account for a Jap spec car in UK using UK fuel.

My owners handbook states that the JDM wrx runs PFR6G and the STi runs PFR7G.
Hope that helps

Are you sure they are the correct ones Carl?
On the NGK website it recommends the BKR6E for non-turbo cars

http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/cars/subaru.htm

You might want to check out this link. I too purchased a set of iridium NGK sparkies for £28.00 (all in) and the code for these is - BKR6EIX. On the site listed above they show this code for Turbos and BKR6EIX-11 for Non Turbo. I assumed therefore that these Iridium plugs would be fine.....I would however be very interested in knowing what NGK reply with ?

and this from ScoobynetShop

Cheers
