OK are there any precations i should be taking, running a jap import WRX STI Wagon MY95/96... It has a boost gauge and a aftermarket exhaust apart from those i think it is pretty much standard... Oh and i believe the ecu has been remapped for UK fuel..(is it still better to use optimax and octane booster.. if so which one).... Wot sort of BHP should i be looking at.

The only thing that i am thinking of doing is fitting a nice new exhaust system maybe the Afterburner Vortex any good, any other info on this would be great.

What sort of boost levels are your running with?

 

if its been re-mapped for uk fuel then its probably running more than standard anyway cos if you spend money on a remap then you would have a good map from start!

240bhp-95 then 260bhp- then my97 face lift 280 includes sti's apart from 94 when ran 250bhp, on 100 ron if remapped, depends on as said what boost are you running on your turbo, for that matter have you got a gauge if not then thats your next mod.

Right ok i have her put on the rolling road today and got nice result of 279.5bhp not bad i think considering there are no mods to her as of yet, I have boost gauge and it is running at 0.8bar.. ECU has been remapped as far as i know. Running it on optimax + octane booster for safety.. Getting a Mongoose full system fitted next week. And as for the knocklink i will get one of those very soon..
