Why on earth would you be looking at 9's?

I wouldn't have thought you'd find many here running the sort of boost pressure to justify a plug like that. Harvey possibly. Again, why do you think you need 9's? What sort of engine/turbo setup are you running?

Your shift key appears to be stuck down as well...

No one that I know of is using them in earnest, I use NGK racing '8's in both the STi5 & 9, Harvey also uses '8's, he did try a grade 9 though but damaged one. Both Harvey and I run similar boost of between 1.8 and 2.0 bar on 2 litre engines. We use similar turbo's of different origin.

Ran up to 2.2 bar in the early days and have run down to 1.55bar but for this engine now settled on 1.85 bar. The plug that let go was an HKS 35i and I have used successfully NGK PFR 7B, 8s and racing 9s but for 99% of Scoobs I would have thought that NGK PFR 7B was the plug to go for.

PFR7's are fine as a general upgrade but I have had issues with those as well, the R7235-8's are probably the best compromise especially if used when remapping. Mild upgrades (exhaust/induction) then PFR7's will do very well.

Denso (HKS) plugs are also as good if not better than the NGK PFR7's for a general upgrade and do provide a much "lighter" feel to most cars, they don't seem to withstand heavy use/abuse though.

It is best to seek advice relating to a specific car and its mod state rather than "assume" I would emphasise.

The reason is GM i had them fitted in October by Bill Gweyne Motor Sport. They did mention that they used these on there rally prepared vehicles.I have not had a problem with these plugs, but wondered why i could not find anyone else using them.
Ideally i would of gone for the pfr7s as they are quite common. But with Bobs opinion
of the pfr7 im glad i never put them in.
