W6 ECU change

Ive got a W6 ecu in my 93 scoob but was wondering if there would be any performance improvement by switching to a later ecu like a Z4.

the Z4 has 260 bhp and a better map etc, changed my93 wrx ecu to the Z4 about a month ago and its much better, i thought it may have just been me ,but even passengers i have had in felt a differance
