Default Idle at startup

Normally when I start up the engine revs at 1000rpm then drops to 750rpm once warm. The past week it has been going up to 1250-1300rpm at startup. Sometimes the needle moves between 1200 and 1300 while its idling. When the engine heats up it still goes back to 750rpm. Do you think this is ok or is it the start of a problem. It's a P1. Cheers

1000rpm sounds a bit low to me. My uk my99 turbo (and most other turbos) idle anywhere between 1250 - 1500rpm on start up, then drop to 780rpm idle. (The fast idle on warm up is to get heat into the cat quicker). Might be the start of a MAF sensor problem, you won't have to look long and hard on here to find out about it....

PS Welcome to SN
