Could be caused by air in your coolant system.

Mine does that when the coolant needs topped up - check the level in your header tank.

Yep, it's probably a bit of air in the heater matrix. My scoob did it until I changed the coolant myself.

Is your car de-catted as i've only heard this on de-catted cars.

Its just the heater system pressurising as its only from start up.

Thought I'd just point this out....which tank are you checking?....the metal one on top of the engine...or the plastic one on the passenger side of the engine bay?

The metal one on the top of the engine should be full to the brim, the plastic one on the side should be just up to the MAX level.
