Doors lock themselves - Removing MY94 Interior door trim
I have a problem that all the doors on my UK MY94 lock themselves every time I shut the drivers door. I have read somewhere that the central locking soleniod in the drivers door has probably got dislodged but I can't see how to get the door trim off to see what is going on. Can anyone help, I'd like to fix it this afternoon!!!!

Doors lock themselves
Not a feature, just a total pain in the ****. It has done it erratically for months but now its everytime. I get out, shut my doors and then the kids are locked in the back!

DOOR TRIM
To get the door trim off follow as below (been a while so check for any more screws)
Unscrew the screw in the door pull bit
unclip the surround on the lock / door open lever
unclip the push in clip on the front edge.
the trim should then just unclip all the way round, then lift up and out of the window channel.

I have had this problem on one of my previous cars (Not a scooby) It was caused by too much tension on one of the lock motor rods, thus when you went over a bump or shut a door etc the locking would activate as though you had pressed the lock pin inside.
Hope this helps

It's fixed!!!!
The number one most annoying problem on my car, as per previous posts it was a simple adjustment of the locking mechanism once I had the door trim apart and had watched the mechanism work for a couple of minutes. Joy is all I can say, thanks for the helpful posts boys and girls!
