Angry brake pads

Hi all,Had my front brake pads changed to-day,and when driving it doesn't feel as quick,when free wheeling the car slows down quicker than it used to got out the car and the front disks were warm obiversly the pads are catching slightly is this normall,my old pads were low so didn't know if the calipers needed time to adjust is their anything i can do myself to solve it as the garage isn't open on sunday and need the car on monday thanks for your time also i had the handbrake tightend to

im not a mechanic but could it be the calipers are seizd or were before fitting your new pads?

Sounds like at least one of the pistons has seized. Nothing you can do unless you're up to DIY disassembling the braking system to locate the problem. Take it to the garage first thing on Monday, or, if you're desperate, get it down to a Kwik-Fit or Halfords tomorrow.

Ok but the brakes were ok before,could the machanic have spotted this though while he was working on them???sorry forgot to say i also had the hand brake tightend
